In the early part of the last century an innovative idea was born here at Victaulic, an idea we’ve been refining one step at a time for 80 years. That idea is the grooved end mechanical piping system – a system of ductile iron and carbon steel couplings, valves and accessories that’s safer, more environmentally friendly and faster to install for designers, contractors and building owners.
Today Victaulic piping systems solutions can be found at work the world over – in small to large commercial and industrial HVAC and fire protection system applications, safely moving large volumes of wet and dry mediums in industrial process piping, oilfield and mining operations, and at your local municipal water and wastewater treatment plant.
Throughout the 20th century, Victaulic perfected the grooved end pipe joining method, added roll and cut grooving tools in the 1940’s and 1950’s, entered the highly competitive fire protection system market in 1952, and grew to its current global status as worldwide leader in mechanical pipe joining systems, by adding people and locations to support its multifaceted product engineering, manufacturing and marketing operations.
